When Chris Valentine, Nate Derby and I started T3 Expo in September 2009, we could only have dreamed that in five years, we would be where we are right now. The fall season has always been an incredibly busy one – and this season is no different – but we want to pause briefly to recognize that this September marks a big milestone for our company. T3 is turning five.

Five years ago this week, we officially launched T3 Expo to address what we saw as a widespread need in the events industry for innovation, flexibility, and transparency. We did not know then what obstacles we’d encounter (and there have been a few!) or what kind of traction we’d make against the “big guys,” or status quo, but we had a vision of what T3 could be.

A short five years later and T3 Expo is an established player in the industry. This year alone, we have helped to produce more than 100 events for companies big and small, including some of Fortune’s most admired names like Salesforce, Amazon, IBM and Intel. Not to mention the trade shows we have helped to execute on behalf of notable associations, such as CASE, GMIS, California Charter School Association, Energy Storage Association and ACFAS, to name a few. We have branded the Moscone Center in San Francisco several times, and even served drinks to industry peers at our own Texas roadhouse during IAEE, and have produced events and exhibits in seven countries around the world. We have introduced breakthrough technologies and new structural components to the market. Our offices in Boston and San Francisco have a growing roster of over 50 dedicated and amazing employees and are expanding by the day.

These five years have gone by so quickly and we have been busy growing the company, but now, we’d like to give thanks to our employees, our customers, our partners and everyone who gave us a shot to help us achieve this level of success.

Who knows what the next five years will bring, but we have big ideas for our 10th year milestone and judging by how things are going, we are confident we’ll get there with everyone’s continued support.

Thank you.
