In the fall of 2017, T3 Expo achieved bonded status in New York City -- as an approved contractor at the Jacob K. Javits Center. The approved contractor certificate allowed us to provide support for the 35,000 companies that exhibit there every year.
So you can understand why we are so excited that the expansion and renovations to the Javits Center is underway in Hudson Yards, Manhattan! This will increase the total area of the facility to 3.3 million square feet.
Being an approved general service provider means that associations and event planners now have a contractor focused on creating journeys that help cultivate shareable moments for their attendees; and, now, we will have more space to do this for our clients!
The construction is taking shape very quickly with steel columns, beams, and large diagonal trusses that are already visible from the street- and of course there are multiple yellow cranes in the area too. The expansion is said to be completed in 2021.
The Javits Center is operated and maintained by the New York City Convention Center Operating Corporation, and is host to many of the worlds leading conventions. It is billed as one of the busiest convention centers in the United States.
According to some reports, there will be a four-level, 655,000-square-foot truck garage with new freight elevators and 27 loading docks. Above that will be a multi-story atrium, 100,000 square feet of permanent exhibition spaces, a 165,000-square-foot conference room, and finally, a 58,000-square-foot ballroom that is slated to be the largest on the East Coast. All of this will sit under a green roof that can hold up to 1,500 people overlooking the Hudson River and Hudson Yards district.

T3 Expo has supported events at the Javits Center in the past for the clients such as ANIME NYC, The Toy Association, Salesforce.com and Amazon.
