Behind the scenes at IAEE

The future of the tradeshow industry got a chance at some sneak peak, behind the scenes moments at the recent IAEE Expo! Expo! event held in December.

IAEE loves its students and faculty and this was on full display at the event, which was held in New Orleans.

As the contractor and partner for the event, T3 Expo was on hand to take part in supporting the efforts to get students more involved in the industry with its “Behind the Scenes Tour” of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

With 1.1 million square feet of continuous exhibit space, the convention center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation and it consistently ranks in the country’s top ten facilities that hold the most conventions and tradeshows annually.

Tom Malek, vice president of sales for T3 Expo assisted with the tour, taking students and faculty on a private showing around the facility.

“As the contractor and partner for IAEE at this year’s Expo! Expo! event, we were thrilled to be able to work with the students and faculty to show them first hand the convention center and also how we work to prepare for a show, behind the scenes,” said Malek. “We were able to share how the show floor was designed and what steps were taken to create an experience and many shareable moments for Expo! Expo! exhibitors and attendees.”

In addition to the “Behind the Scenes” tour, IAEE provided student and faculty IAEE members with full access to the show floor, the general sessions and educations sessions at no cost. It also created some unique experiences for them to become a part of the show, such as a faculty round table session, a networking lunch and to be a part of the Expociety- IAEE’s Annual Closing Event.
